Compass Rose Therapy & Consulting Services, LLC is a Massachusetts-based practice owned and operated by Dr. Wendy Knight, DSW, LICSW. Dr. Knight designs expert-led training, both online and in-person, on topics that support the well-being of professionals. In addition, Dr. Knight provides clinical supervision services for social services employees and leaders. Meet the Owner
Dr. Wendy Knight is a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Massachusetts. She is the principal owner of Compass Rose Therapy & Consulting Services, LLC and an Assistant Professor in the School of Social Work at Bridgewater State University. She provides training and clinical consulting services for agencies focusing on burnout mitigation, engagement, and a variety of social service-related topics.
Dr. Knight earned her Doctor of Social Work degree from the University of Southern California with her scholarship focused on burnout mitigation in social services. Through her studies, Dr. Knight developed a professional development program for social services leaders, entitled the Leaders for Social Good Training Program, which aims to equip and support social leaders with research-informed knowledge and strategies in preventing and addressing burnout in workplace systems.
Dr. Knight has extensive experience in social services. While studying for her Master of Social Work degree, she completed her clinical training at Judge Baker Children's Center in Boston, Massachusetts. Since her training, Dr. Knight has worked in alternative and special education schools and community-based settings with a focus on youth, adults, and families. In addition, Dr. Knight worked for the Boys & Girls Clubs of Boston in partnership with the Camp Harbor View Foundation for eight years, serving initially as a clinician and then as the Director of Clinical & Support Services. During this time, Dr. Knight trained 23 Master of Social Work students from Boston College and Simmons University. Since 2018, Dr. Knight has provided specialized clinical supervision, support, and training for social service providers and organizations through her practice, Compass Rose Therapy & Consulting, Services, LLC. She is passionate about her role as an educator, trainer, mentor, and clinical supervisor.
